Alex SONG
Whatever it takes we should be doing all we can to keep him.

Ran the show again today and was by far the best player on the park, an immense calming influence when needed as well.

I fucking love this man.

Re: Alex SONG
Owners reckon 50/50 he'll stay, wants to live in London, won't play for Spurs, Chelsea have depth, Arsenal will be in for him but will hopefully implode & Wenger will be off! (Wanks furiously!)

I wouldn't be so sure. A tasty contract, the captaincy, the idea of him leading us into the OS. It is a big challenge for him. He is the main man so we must treat him like the main man.

If we continue getting results and we finish top four then even more incentive. A player that also leads us into our first CL campaign. But realistically we have to be looking at Europe League qualification. But even then, why would he not?

The only thing I can see is him getting better and either Barca getting him back or them being offered big money by one of the big boys. And I could see him getting into Arsenal's side easy, but would he go back? Man City, well he is better than the two blokes they keep swapping to play with Toure. Man Utd he walks in. Only Chelsea I see him not guarunteed but just because they rotate so much.

So, there is very chance he walks away but we must now get the ball rolling and try to do a deal with Barca. Make them an offer they can't refuse now.

You've got more chance of seeing me playing for west ham next year than you have Alex song

Re: Alex SONG
Him staying with us depends on where we finish end of the season. If we continue our good form I reckon we're be able to convince him to stay.

Re: Alex SONG
Class apart from the very first game, if only we could keep him, make sure he feels the love whatever else goes down.

Re: Alex SONG
Clearly the best midfielder we've had at the club for a number of years, so I'll just enjoy him while he's here this season and will be over the moon if when August comes around he's still wearing our claret and blue.

It's common knowledge that we'll be able to attract better players like Song because of the Olympic Stadium.

He's 27.

Re: Alex SONG
he's at a real crossroad in his career. he's 30 isnt he? so what does he do?

a) go back to barca and try and get in the team

b) sign for a different premier league team and maybe not get in their team

c) sign for us, a team on the up and lead us into the OS

If he was 5 yrs younger we'd have no chance of getting him. our squad is good enough now, we dont need anymore players. so just throw the jan budget at him.

Re: Alex SONG
We should break the bank to get him. Make no mistake.

Re: Alex SONG
Song is one of those players that you don't just see him play well but you actually see a player playing the game at a different level. We rarely get players like that at West Ham so this a massive treat for all of us.

He is as important and influential for us as Messi and Ronaldo are to Barca and Madrid respectively.

He simply elevates us to another plane.

Re: Alex SONG
He was good, but he's played better for us.

All three midfielders were immense yesterday.

Re: Alex SONG
agree penners he was easly MOM for me

I loved at the stage when it was 2-1 they got a bit opf pressure and he gets the ball and runs through midfield doing calm down signals with his hands.

penners28 12:32 Mon Dec 8
Re: Alex SONG
LAD, he basically ran the show yesterday?

LAD 12:31 Mon Dec 8
Re: Alex SONG
He wasn't AS dominant as he has been in previous games, but what gets me in the last 15 minutes when the pressure was bang on us, he stayed so fucking calm under pressure and countless times he mopped up got on the ball and slowed things down.

He's fantastic and we MUST sign him.

Re: Alex SONG
Anyone else notice by the way whilst he was completely bossing the game, he did it wearing an old pair of puma kings football boots?

just shows pure class he has

Re: Alex SONG
Just pay what it takes to keep him.

We are a different team with him in it, it would be money well spent. I'm sure the Dave's can see this and will do their best!

Re: Alex SONG
Didnt he have a bust up with the Cameroon gaffer so might not be picked for AFCON ?

Agree with many on here....yesterday he was superb...picked up so many loose balls and takes care of the ball so well. Also has the ability to burst forward and be a threat, £15mil of next seasons budget should be earmarked for him already

Re: Alex SONG
Didn't quite believe it but went to the Sky report to confirm that Song was rated 6/10. Ha ha. Like to see it when he has a good game.
